Lorin Zimmerman is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of PA who has worked in the behavioral health field for 30 years. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Penn State University and her master’s in social work (MSW) from The University of Pittsburgh.

Lorin has a varied and rich work history. She has expertise in the fields of mental health field and drug and alcohol treatment. She has worked as a foster care program supervisor and a residential treatment clinical supervisor. Finally, she was previously employed as the Director of Mental Health Services.

Lorin is adept at treating individuals, families, and groups with a wide range of issues, including managing stress, anxiety disorders, depression, grief & loss, adjustments & transitions, parenting issues, and trauma and abuse. She uses an eclectic approach to therapy and incorporates various therapeutic techniques. She is a certified in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Lorin also incorporates biblical principles and faith-based counseling into her practice when requested by the client. In addition to her clinical work, Lorin supervises Master’s level clinicians for professional licensure and frequently provides professional consultation and training.

In 2023, Lorin became a certified health and well-being coach from Duke Integrative Medicine. This inspired her to create Hope Abounds Wellness, LLC, and to dive full-time into private practice therapy and well-being coaching.

In June 2024, Lorin became a certified Spinning instructor through Mad Dogg Athletics.
